Student Support at BAA
The Student Support Team (SST) consists of 12 professional staff members, one of the largest professionally staffed teams at BAA. Their services and outreach impacts all operational aspects of the school, such as school safety, health, parent/caregiver outreach, discipline, mediation, mental health counseling, students with disabilities and social/emotional challenges, and student and family counseling
In addition to providing these non-instructional services, the SST organizes a host of instructional and remedial services including test prep, tutoring, special services of learning disabled students and a college and career planning center for grades 9-12.
The necessity of balancing a college preparatory curriculum against a demanding arts program with long additional hours of rehearsal and practice requires that students receive the support they need to be successful. Consistent staffing and thoughtful use of resources have created an impressive array of services that meet many of our students’ needs.
