1. Demonstrate Seriousness of purpose in their engagement in dance classes and performances.
1. Demonstrate a practice routine through a weekly practice log.
1. Students will lose inhibitions, build trust and group cohesion.

2. Identify and demonstrate movement elements and skills in ballet and modern dance.
2. Demonstrate concert attendance through a quarterly concert reflection.
2. Students will strengthen concentration, memory, and listening skills.
2. Compose work that demonstrates understanding of design elements and principles.
3. Apply and demonstrate critical and creative thinking skills in dance.
3. Count and Clap whole notes, half notes, dotted half, quarter, eighth, and sixteenth notes.
3. Students will establish objects and environments without the use of speech or concrete objects.
3. Commit to high level of craftsmanship.
4. Demonstrating and understanding dance in various cultures and historical periods.
4. Identify the notes of a keyboard.
4. Students will use their bodies and faces to communicate meaning and feelings without using spoken language.

8. Identify the organs and physical processes involved in tone production (Vocal).      
8. Students will reflect on daily growth through the use of journal and Self-Assessments.
9. Sing with correct diction, solo and ensemble pieces in English, Latin, Italian and a world language (Vocal).
10. Identify the different voice parts and follow a choral score (Vocal).
11. Determine aurally whether or not a pitch is in tune (Vocal).        
12. Perform a Level Two Technique Jury (Instrumental).  
13. Perform two pieces of standard Jury repertoire (Instrumental).
14. Demonstrate knowledge and ability of instrument maintenance (Instrumental).
